Every year or two, you can see a trend to visit a particular vacation destination surfacing on social media. You suddenly see everyone posting pictures from Santorini, now everyone seems to be in Cappadoccia, or your feed is flooded with pictures from Rome. You know it very well, don’t you? The places that are overly-hyped over a determined period, are usually also overcrowded and overpriced. And while they are definitely worth visiting for sure, there are also a lot of places that are even more beautiful than them and, surprisingly, not yet “discovered” by the masses. If you take your time to “dig in”, you can find a lot of wonderful, charming places that you will be able to enjoy in tranquillity, without crowds bumping on you.
Warsaw Modlin Airport (WMI) is one of many airports in Poland that serves a variety of different flight connections and hence it is a popular place for travelers. It is therefore a privileged position for a great hotel and restaurants, since many would choose to stay there pre and post flights and on layovers. In the occasion of a recent flight from Modlin, we have chosen to stay in the 4* Royal Hotel Modlin for a night. (http://www.royalhotel.pl/).
It’s the last day of you cruise, you’re enjoying your well-spent vacation and while heading back to your cabin you receive your final invoice with the reception with an amount that you don’t understand. You should be notified about every cost you are charged during the time you are provided with a service, but sometimes you can overlook it and be very surprised when the final bill comes.
Rome – the city of monuments, breathtaking landscapes and wonderful architecture. A place both for people who want to dive into the history, those who seek spiritual guidance, those who want to taste the Italian flavors, the Italian atmosphere and lifestyle, that I will personally never forget… I will tell you how were we traveling, which places did we focus on and what were the costs of the stay in Rome.
If you’ve never been on a cruise before or you simply didn’t explore all of your options yet, there might be things you don’t know you can do to enhance your vacation. The things I will list here are not going to be in your cruise contract, but if you’re a frequent cruiser you might have realized there’s more that you can do than what you’ve been told!
While cruising, I love taking with me a variety of outfits that feature tulle. It’s a very lightweight fabric that looks fabulous both at gala nights, cocktail parties, but also dancing evenings. Clothing made of tulle look wonderful in open air spaces, because they “dance in the air” and create a flowing effect.
During this year’s cruise we’ve had the possibility of visiting Albania – Msc Musica docked in Saranda for one day. Our Albanian adventure was, let’s say, a bit unexpected, maybe a bit shocking, but also dangerous and I doubt that I would choose this risky way of sightseeing a second time.
The port of Brindisi is usually chosen due to embarkation reasons for Italian guests and the time spent in port rarely exceeds half a day. However, you can definitely make it a very pleasant and chilled half a day 😉
