ENG | PL The current situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic influence on travel is very dynamic – no wonder that 2 of my flights with the same airline within 3 weeks looked very different. While in my humble opinion, some of the airlines & airports are managing the whole situation in a somewhat organized manner, some of the procedures or rules that are being implemented do not really make sense. During these past months, I didn’t want to risk travelling with different airlines, so when I really needed to travel – I chose my trusted national line LOT Polish Airlines. In this post, I will be focusing on the rules that have been incorporated at the airports of HAM (Hamburg), WAW (Warsaw) and LUZ (Lublin) specifically and flying during pandemic with LOT, since this is the only airline I trusted during these hard times. I want to share my personal, honest and true opinion of how flying during pandemic was for me, and also point some light at whether it is safe or not. The itinerary I boarded on was LUZ (Lublin) – WAW (Warsaw) – HAM (Hamburg).
ENG | PL Our trip to Masuria, the region of 2,000 lakes in Poland, was one of the hits of our “Poland expedition”. Since it’s not only a place where we personally like to come back, but also one of the most popular touristic destinations in Poland, we want to show you one more place connected to this area – the Marina Nawigator. If you’re looking for the perfect secluded getaway location, you came to the right place.
ENG | PL Imagine the leading Polish writers strolling along green alleys in the heart of a dense network of loess gorges with extremely rich, lush vegetation… One of the famous authors who enjoyed that panorama was Stefan Żeromski, who lived and worked there with his wife in the contemporary Villa Oktawia. It was also there, in Nałęczów, in a small room of the charming Małachowski Palace, that the masterpiece “Lalka” (The Doll) was created, by the incomparable Bolesław Prus. Even Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski placed one of his family buildings there – Stare Łazienki. In the Avenue of the Stars of Polish Cycling located in the Zdrojowy Park, it’s possible to find the autographs of such personalities as Zenon Jaskuła or Maja Włoszczowska.
ENG | PL While traveling around the East of Poland, you will probably bump onto the city of Siedlce more than once. Located in the Masovian Voivodeship between the Muchawka and Helenka rivers, in Southern Podlasie, the 76000-thousands populated city is definitely worth stopping and visiting its flagship beautiful places. I gathered some interesting places that you will surely like to see to enjoy your eye and your wanderlust craving 😉
ENG | PL The cruise ship stateroom you choose will be your home for the week, two or even more – depending on the length of your cruise. That’s why you have to choose it carefully – and think about the pros and cons of all of the different types of cabins on a cruise ship. Usually, people who are on the constant run and don’t spend anytime in the cabin choose the cheapest kind of cabin, and those who want to opt in for some alone-time choose the most expensive options. But did you know that the choice of a cabin should not be limited only to this one aspect? Factors like location, cabin experience & decks really do matter – find out what is the right cabin for you and never look back.
ENG | PL Incredibly picturesque ruins of a castle found somewhere in between the Holy Cross province in Poland – this is how we would sum up the wonderful Zamek Krzyżtopór in Ujazd, Poland. This phrase though doesn’t transpire the whole value of the majestatic architecture, the monumental curves or the wanderlusting atmosphere ready to experience while wandering around the abandoned, long halls. In other words – it’s one of these places that every travel explorer should visit!
ENG | PL Moving to a different country for the first time is a big deal. No matter how much do you think you want to leave your country and how ready you think you are, there are some things worth knowing before you make the move. I moved to Italy to live there when I was 19 years old. It was an easy decision -> the dream of living in this wonderful country hasn’t been leaving my head since a very young age. It was “my place to be”, a destination where I felt I belong, where I was sure my final home is. It was with a great excitement and determination that as soon as I graduated, I made the big move.
As it turned out, it’s not that easy. I left Italy after 1 year of living there for a lot of different reasons that you can read about in the post -> I lived in Italy for a year. Why did I come back?
But in this post, I want to share with you some things I wish I knew before actually moving to a different country, but only realized afterwards.
ENG | PL How to get somewhere for free? How to avoid the entrance check? Maybe there’s a way around it? How to get a drink without paying for it? Honestly? This kind of behavior is very visible and regular cruisers really hate it. Explanations like “because I want to save money on it” are not accurate… because if that is so, a luxury cruise ship is not for you! Dear first time cruisers… let me show you why I see you from a mile away.
ENG | PL The upscale elegance of this place can be seen at first glance. The red and beige walls stand out significantly on the city skyline. The sophisticated details of the tenement house make it impossible to pass by without stopping by for a moment of admiration. It delights us already from the outside and surprises with original interiors … This is what Hotel Dyplomat is like, a four-star hotel in the heart of Olsztyn. It’s a luxurious, comfortable and quiet facility – so it combines all of the elements that we value the most in hotels. Today we are opening the door to this extraordinary, boutique building – Hotel Dyplomat.
